The POLYWOOD® Long Island Adirondack Chair is made from POLYWOOD HDPE Recycled Plastic Lumber. Poly-Wood plastic lumber is made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic derived from POST-consumer waste such as milk jugs and plastic packaging that would otherwise end up in our overflowing landfills! It is derived from 90% recycled materials. POLYWOOD is sturdy, durable and weather resistant. Since POLYWOOD HDPE resin plastic lumber has it's color throughout the material, it will not show scratches or warping. Poly-Wood has been manufacturing quality outdoor and patio furniture since 1990. All Poly-Wood outdoor patio furniture is made in Syracuse, Indiana, USA. Poly-Wood adds comfort to your outdoor casual life and will withstand many seasons of mother natures most brutal weather.

Virtually Maintenance Free Poly~Wood™ Furniture - Poly~Wood material is made of HDPE plastic resin, which is recycled plastic bottles, that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water.
For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color or suface. Another popular cleaning method is a high pressure power washer. (DO NOT exceed 1,500 psi, which is equivalent to a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases and grooves.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.
The high-density poly wood used to make Poly-Wood® Patio furniture is made of UV stabilized colored plastic. It has solid color throughout the material and will not fade.

I am not very easily impressed, and I must say, when I pulled these chairs out of the shipping box I was taken aback at the stunning quality of the product. It far exceeded my best expectations. They must have used actual wooden parts of an adirondack chair to make the molds because the wood texture is amazingly authentic. You will in no way be disappointed and will feel the price you pay is well worth the investment. I can't wait to get the pato table and chairs that I also ordered now that I have seen the quality of these chairs. I am definitely a customer for life.

We own two of these poly-wood adirondack chairs. They have been out on our deck for two years now, exposed to all kinds of weather including snow and ice this year. They look brand new, were not difficult to put together, very comfortable to sit in. You don't lean back quite as far as the normal wood adirondack chair which is really good for my lower bad back. Our friends love them too. Many have purchased white ones for the Florida weather scene, we got the black ones and they are really sharp looking. Our friends got the round coffee table and 4 chairs after seeing ours. I cannot say enough good things about Poly-Wood chairs. No work involved. And heavy enough to not blow around, but not so heavy you can't move them when you want to. We would really like to get more of them but would have to build a bigger deck! Ours compliment the faux wicker sofa set we have. People love it beause it is our outdoor living room. They head toward the adirondack chars first though! Very comfortable to sit in.

I had wooden adirondack chairs, a must with them is to paint with an oil base paint. However this should be done once a season. After pressure washing and painting you would have about 2 hours in each chair x 5 chairs. Then after four season the chairs are rotten. The polywood chairs look great are very comfortable and have enough weight to them (same as wooden) that I'm not worried about them blowing of the dock. Time will tell but I feel confident that if there would be problem the manufacturer will back them up.

I can't say enough about these chairs! They are not only comfortable to sit in, but they are fun to look at! The colors are bright and do not fade one bit! You can even see a "wood grain" through the color. You really have to ask yourself if it is wood or not! I ordered two and then after putting them together and seeing how beautiful they were, I bought two more! I get tons of compliments on them. The only flaw is the price! But...if you think of how many wooden chairs you would go through year after year..the price is worth every penny! You will want an electric screwdriver to put these together. I killed myself with the first one before I smartened up and got the Makita out. No husband needed! I did it all by myself!
